HEALTH NUGGET: KNOW YOUR NUMBERS (Part I)

When it comes to your health, there are 7 numbers you should know by heart..1. LDL Cholesterol - Low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol is a major cause of coronary heart disease. It's the culprit behind most cholesterol buildup and arterial blockages in your body. 2. Body Mass Index or BMI - Your BMI calculates your body fat, based on your height and weight. The higher your BMI, the greater your risks of heart disease, stroke, hypertension and diabetes. 3. Waist Circumference - Did you know that having an "apple" shape, where fat sits around your middle, is more risky for your heart than having a "pear" shape, where fat sits around your hips?

  • Pathfinder Investiture is on March 10th in the afternoon.m 
  • March 17th will be Global Youths Day
  • The Adventurer and Pathfinder Club is accepting registration for new membership of children 6-15yrs old. 
  • Registration is still open for the Master  Guide class. For more information, please see Sis Claudie Seide or Sis Sherrie Clarke. 
  • Exercise Class continues every Sunday morning at 8am: men, women, children of all fitness levels are welcomed! $1 donation for men and women per/class. You dont want to miss it. 
  • The New Jersey Conference presents Women's Retret on April 20-22nd in Piscataway, NJ. Registration is $35.00per person. If interested please see Sis Erolin Serraneau.
