Homily
But Let a Man Examine Himself, and so Let Him Eat of that Bread, and Drink of that Cup. ~ 1 Corinthians 11:28
Good Morning and Happy Sabbath Everyone!
Today at Hackensack Seventh-Day Adventist Church, we are having Communion! We are having a wonderful service with performances by Bro. Kwesi Serraneau, followed with our sermon entitled "Homily" which will be spoken by Pastor Stefan Burton-Schnüll. The scripture reading today will be taken from 1 Cor. 11:23-25.

1 Corinthians 11:23-25 23For I received from the LORD what I also passed on to you: The LORD Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, 24and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, "This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me." 25In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me."
Health Nugget: Radish
Radishes are antibacterial, anti-fungal, and diuretic. They are rich in Vitamin C and folate, and are excellent for sinus congestion, sore throats, chest colds, asthma, and hoarseness. Radishes have the ability to dissolve mucus and acids within the body and expel stones from the gallbladder as well as cleanse the kidneys. Radish is also very helpful in preventing and fighting urinary tract and bladder infections. Eating radishes on a regular basis can help prevent colds and flus and they are a great anti-cancer food and are known to specifically benefit stomach, kidney, mouth, and colon cancer. Radishes are also good to eat with starchy foods such as pasta, potatoes, and grains as they have enzymes that aid in the secretion of digestive juices.
